If the structure of the bottom is soft, - the impulse coming to the transducer will be weak. The harder the surface of the underwater object or the bottom, the stronger the reflection. The received information is interpreted and displayed on the echosounder screen.
The main thing to adjust the echo sounder is to try to capture the reflected signal as much as possible. The echo sounder should recognize a clear response among a large number of different interferences. To do this, you need to set the depth range for fishing in the settings. In the process of moving around the reservoir, the echo sounder can show automatic depth measurements.
The final stage of customization of the echo sounder will be the setting of noise reduction and surface cleaning. If you set the noise reduction at a low level, you will get a clear image, and you will be able to see the bait, how the fish reacts to it.
It is important to remember that there are no single correct settings. Moving from deep water to shallow water, changing the water body with different bottom structure it is necessary to change the echo sounder settings.
